To build off of our Mental Health Action Week event and due to the stress of COVID-19 and midterms, we decided to try something new and sell self-care kits! Members were able to enjoy a face mask, tea, and a bunch of fun goodies! Each bag also got a free food coupon from HotBox Pizza! Taking time to focus on yourself is incredibly important, and it is always a good idea to break from the computer every once in a while. We had a great turnout for our fundraising event with HotBox Pizza, and were so happy to be one of the first fundraising events at their new location. Thanks to everyone who participated and got pizza!
Our first cocoa and canvas of the semester was a huge success, with us basically selling out! Given how COVID is impacting social events on campus, we are glad to provide a socially distanced alternative to this event. Our next Cocoa and Canvas will be in March and will be FREE in collaboration with Purdue Student Government and Mental Health Action Week! Halloween is a wonderful time of year, and Habitat is doing tons to celebrate. Check out what we've been up to and what we have planned for the next two weeks! kick-off build The Kick-Off Build this year was a huge success! Thanks to our volunteers, we built all the walls to a house, cleaned up a community garden, AND started installation on a retaining wall. Can't wait to see everyone again on the next Saturday Build, September 14th! coffee & canvas
