requirements
A committee member position is a lower level of commitment than an administrative board or executive board position, and a great starting point if you would eventually like to have a leadership position in the club! Some of the basic responsibilities and expectations of committee members include the following:
- Attend all committee meetings and general member meetings
- Be a General Member of Habitat for Humanity (fill out a membership form and pay dues - $15 per semester or $20 for the academic year)
- Complete at least 10 hours of Habitat hours outside of required meetings (Saturday builds, helping with flyering and chalking for events, etc.)
- Keep in communication with the rest of your committee team and admin leader
- Create semester goals for your committee and submit these goals to your VP by the end of your first committee meeting
