Saturday Builds in a nutshell
The work that Habitat for Humanity does is incredibly important, but incredibly difficult to complete without help from caring individuals! Our Development Team works to inform Purdue students about Habitat's mission, and our Fundraising Team works to support local affiliates by raising money to cover the costs of building a house. The
responsibility of the Operations Team is to support local affiliates by providing volunteer labor on a weekly basis!
We achieve this goal by organizing Saturday builds. Saturday builds are volunteering opportunities our team arranges with local Habitat affiliates in order to connect our members with chances to better the world, and to connect the affiliates to the volunteer force they need! A build could involve any of the typical jobs that you associate with construction, such as hammering nails into wall frames and hanging drywall. It could also involve less obvious things, such as landscaping, cleaning, or other tasks that improve a neighborhood.

Saturday lunch preparation
This semester Purdue Habitat will be hosting a monthly lunch for Saturday volunteers. On the third Saturday of every month, members will prepare a meal for 25-30 volunteers. If you enjoy cooking, don't want to do physical labor, or just want to eat free food after you make it, this is for you! Fill out the interest form so you can stay connected!
Sign up to be a driver
Volunteer drivers carpool with other participants to the affiliate office and build site. Drivers must fill out the RM01S form to be able to drive other volunteers.
